Jennifer Hudson, who previously encountered family tragedy, is getting back to work, according to a report.

The singer is set to begin filming a video next week for her single, “If This Isn’t Love,” according to her label, J Records.

Jennifer Hudson was due to film the clip in Los Angeles when her mother, Darnell Hudson Donerson, and brother, Jason Hudson, were discovered shot to death in their Chicago home on the city’s South Side on Oct. 24. The body of her nephew, 7-year-old Julian King, was found in a sport utility vehicle three days later.

Her estranged brother-in-law, William Balfour, who is married to her sister Julia, has been charged in the slayings. Prosecutors have said Balfour was upset Julia had been dating another man.

Jennifer Hudson has been in seclusion since the killings. However, she has thanked the public for their support since the tragedy, and last week issued a statement after she was nominated for four Grammy awards, including best R&B album for her self-titled debut.

She revealed: “It’s been a childhood dream of mine to release an album, so to receive four Grammy nominations is truly a blessing. I am extremely honored and humbled by the nominations.”

She has recently been featured in ads for the Gap, but those images were shot well before the murders.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie shared the spotlight Monday night with two VIPs as the celebrity couple was accompanied by two special guests at Monday’s Los Angeles premiere of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button: Brad Pitt’s parents.

Jane Etta Hillhouse and William Pitt walked the carpet with the couple. Brad Pitt’s father was photographed with his arms around the actress.

Angelina Jolie, who looked stunning in a strapless black dress, certainly played dutiful host when she declined to chat with some reporters, saying, “I have to stay with them.”

Brad Pitt, who looked dapper in a bowtie and tux and still rocking his old-school mustache, revealed that the entire event was designed to channel old Hollywood glamor as he explained: “It’s a movie in the vein of the classics. [It's a] classic epic, dealing with life and love, and all that fantastic stuff.”

When asked for the clan’s holiday plans, Brad shared: “We’re feeling our way through it.” Angelina added: “I’m very, very proud. Mainly, I have seen everyday he went to work just how hard he worked, how hard the director worked, and Cate [Blanchett] — and just how dedicated they were. It’s been a big process; it’s a very trying film. So, I am just so happy that it came out so beautifully and their work is going to be recognized.”

What did Brad Pitt’s mother thought of the film, Jane Pitt said: “I cried, it’s so beautiful. It’s so touching. It’s lovely; it’s just a wonderful picture.”

Brad Pitt also said that he is proud of Button (out Dec. 25) because it’s “in the vein of the classics. He added: “And a kind of classic epic, dealing with life and love, and all that fantastic stuff, so yeah that’s the idea.”

Mariah Carey is delighted American voters chose Barack Obama as the next U.S. President because she’s convinced his victory will change the world.

The stunning singer admitted that she was shocked at Obama’s landslide win, and insisted that it shows how far race relations in the U.S. have come in the last 50 years.

She revealed: “I’m still so stunned by it. Obama becoming President is just the most incredible achievement. My mom is Irish and my dad was African-American/Venezuelan, and when my parents got married they weren’t allowed to be together in a lot of American states. It was illegal because they were an inter-racial couple.”

She added: “When I look at this, and I think about my grandmother, my great-grandmother and my mom, who was heavily involved in civil rights, it makes me tear up. It makes me so emotional as for once we did the right thing and everyone got involved. People saw past the race thing and the world seems better already. There’s a real feeling of hope”.

Hollywood actor John Travolta was said to be devastated last night following the death of his 16-year-old son during a family holiday in the Bahamas.

Jett Travolta, 16, suffered a seizure at the family’s holiday home. Loretta Mackey, a police spokesman in Nassau, said that during the seizure the teenager had hit his head while in a bathtub.

He was discovered unconscious and taken to hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

The teenager had a history of seizures. Police said they are planning an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Travolta’s attorney, Michael Ossi, said that the teenager’s death “was completely out of the blue”.

He added: “This is the worst day of John’s life.”

After an autopsy the body will be buried in Ocala, Florida, close to where the family lives.

They had been staying in their property at the Old Bahama Bay resort community on Grand Bahama Island.

Robert Gidel, president of Ginn Resorts, the property’s owner, revealed: “The Travolta family has become like family to us at Old Bahama Bay and we extend our deepest sympathies to them.”

Jett was the eldest child of the star of Grease, Saturday Night Fever and Pulp Fiction and his wife, the actress Kelly Preston.

The couple also have a daughter, Ella Blue, who was born in 2000.

Travolta is a qualified pilot and has flown for the Australian airline Qantas when not fulfilling his Hollywood commitments. Such is his enthusiasm for aviation that he persuaded his wife to name their son Jett.

Travolta, his wife Kelly, and Ella Blue were all due to star alongside Robin Williams in a new comedy, Old Dogs, this year.

Unlike his sister, Jett had shown no enthusiasm for following his parents into acting and was interested more in the outdoors and physical pursuits.

The film star has said: “As much as Ella loves showbusiness, he loves the outdoors – sports, swimming, cycling, hiking.”

When Princess Beatrice’s Norfolk Terrier went missing three weeks ago the Royal Family was so upset even the Queen joined the search.

After the family had all but given up hope on finding Max he turned up at the Duke of York’s home in Windsor Great Park yesterday morning.

Max, who is a Christmas present seven years ago, was bedraggled, hungry, his left eye was half shut, but his tail was wagging when he walked into the house.

Princess Beatrice, 20, was at home when the dog returned. She burst into tears when she saw him.

The terrier disappeared from her father’s home, Royal Lodge, in Windsor Great Park three weeks ago. The family suspects that Max fell down a rabbit hole on the 5,000-acre estate.

A spokeswoman for the Duchess revealed: “Max is back. He was hungry, bedraggled, but is now snoozing contentedly in front of the fire. He is the best possible belated Christmas present.”

Prince William has taken girlfriend Kate Middleton on a surprise Scottish holiday with his father and stepmother.

The intimate family gathering will inevitably lead to rumors that the couple are likely to become engaged soon.

The 26-year-old prince has been dating Miss Middleton for six years and had been expected to take a skiing trip with her in his last few days of freedom as soon as he starts training as an RAF Search and Rescue helicopter pilot.

A friend revealed: “Their decision to fly up to Scotland has taken everyone by surprise.”

The couple have only just been reunited after spending Christmas apart, as dictated by royal protocol.

But sources close to the couple insist they are ‘as strong as ever’, and have merely attempted to keep their relationship out of the limelight, as they felt pressurized by the level of publicity it had been receiving.

In fact the pair have chosen to socialize in a low key way among a small group of loyal friends, spending time at several weekend-long house parties, including a three day shoot held by Arthur Landon, son of the late Brigadier Tim Landon, who was one of the wealthiest men in Britain.

“They are still very much together, they just want to keep things below the radar and not be seen out and about,” according to a source.

Another source revealed: “This is the first time Wills has taken Kate away with his father. It has certainly caused some excitement.”

A special bash has been planned for Friday — Kate’s birthday.

The pair have been dating for six years. Kate is said to be keen to become engaged before she is 30.

Emma Watson, who is worth £2.8 million, says her friends never let her treat them when they go out.

Singers Katy Perry and Travis McCoy have ended their relationship, according to a source.

The “I Kissed a Girl” singer, 24, and the Gym Class Heroes frontman, 27, vacationed together in Mexico over the holidays, but they split shortly before the New Year, says a source.

A source revealed: “It’s a hardship, but she’s regrouping.”

McCoy took to his FriendsOrEnemies blog on Dec. 31, where he posted lyrics to hip-hop group Main Source’s breakup song “Looking at the Front Door.”

The song includes the lines: “We fight every night, now that’s not kosher/I reminisce with bliss of when we was closer/And wake up to be greeted by an argument again/You act like you’re ten.”

He followed the lyrical post with another loaded message, declaring his devotion to his laptop: “My Laptop is my new b–. LOYAL. LISTENS. and NEVER LET’S ME DOWN.”

The same day, Perry performed at the Gridlock New Year’s Eve party on the Paramount lot. A partygoer revealed: “She hung out with her friends all night. She was in a great mood. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary.”

After more than a year of friendship and casual dating, the musicians got serious right before both hit the road for last summer’s Vans Warped tour. McCoy bought Perry a “promise ring,” while he wore a silver band with the word “Katy” on it.

A representative for Perry, a Grammy nominee who kicks off a tour Jan. 23 in Seattle, had no comment on the singer’s personal life. McCoy’s representative could not be reached for comment.

Beyonce Knowles has reportedly upset fellow pop star Janet Jackson by implying that her family were not from a high-class background.

The singer appeared to put down the Jackson family in a recent interview with Elle magazine after stating: “I grew up upper class. Private school. My dad had a Jaguar. We’re African-American and we work together as a family, so people assume we’re like the Jacksons - but I didn’t have parents using me to get out of a bad situation”.

And according to the New York Daily News, Jackson, who hails from the working class area of Gary, Indiana, is so “infuriated” by the comment she is planning to confront the singer.

Paris Hilton, who previously sparked reports that she is helping the world through shopping, is reportedly dating George Clooney.

The socialite fueled speculation of a romance after recently enjoying an “intimate” evening with the ‘Burn After Reading’ star at the Whiskey Bar at the Sunset Marquis hotel in Hollywood, according to a magazine report.

A source revealed: “Paris and George sat and talked together for ages. They didn’t seem to be aware of anyone else in the room.”

The following evening, Paris, 27, was seen sitting beside 47-year-old George at a dinner at a Hollywood restaurant, with other guests including director Ridley Scott and Brittany Flickinger, winner of ‘Paris Hilton’s My New BFF’ show.

Meanwhile, Paris reportedly caused shock in Australia because of her “psycho shopping”.

The hotel heiress, who was in the country for a New Year’s Eve party in Sydney, stunned shoppers by spending almost $100 a minute at boutique Wayne Cooper, with critics branding the 40-minute spree “obscene”.

However, Paris Hilton, who is also visiting hospitals to meet sick children while in the country, insisted she was boosting the economy with her extravagance.

She claimed: “I’m in Australia, I think it’s important to help out, you know, the economy out here, everywhere in the world.”Paris was also defended by Australian Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard, who said: “I’m obviously not as well practiced at shopping as Ms. Hilton is but Australia is a great place to do it.”
